Eighteen innovations and the organizations that created them have been named finalists in the fourth annual Sacramento Region Innovation Awards, presented by Stoel Rives LLP, Moss Adams LLP and the Sacramento Business Journal. Winners in seven categories will be revealed during an awards ceremony on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at the Crest Theatre,

The November 7 awards ceremony begins at 5:30 pm with a networking period and Innovation Showcase featuring displays from the finalists, followed by a formal program until 8:30 pm. Individual tickets and table sponsorships may be reserved through the Sacramento Business Journal registration page.
The Selection Committee evaluated nearly 70 eligible* entries, which were judged on novelty, market need, economic or social impact, and disruption. Committee members are drawn from the area’s civic, business, academic and technology sectors.
The Sacramento Region Innovation Awards program was founded by Stoel Rives LLP and is facilitated by the firm’s attorneys and professional staff. Moss Adams LLP validates the voting process and the Sacramento Business Journal events division provides promotional and management services. “Champion” level sponsors Five Star Bank and the SMUD hosted a Nominee Reception on August 29, 2019, at the Golden 1 Center Assembly Club.
*The innovation must be created or a primary portion of the work on the innovation must have been performed by a Sacramento-region entity. Sacramento region is defined as Butte, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Solano, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba counties.
